Overall Satisfaction with SAP S/4HANA Cloud

SAP S/4HANA Cloud offers greater flexibility and better connectivity. This is the way to go considering the scalability of the product and its current usage in the market

Pros

  • the smooth transition from ECC to S4
  • The improved performance
  • The reporting that integrates all the backend tools
  • flexibility

Cons

  • some integrations with third party systems are tricky that maybe smoothened out
  • some of it is very complex and not as evolved as in SAP ECC
  • Expensive! Before it was available to mid-size companies too. With accelerated cost it is only for huge enterprises
  • The system is very stable so there are less chances of a code change or migration destabilizing something else.
  • As reliability of the system is great, people may invest more in new designs rather than support.
  • The streamlined process has minimized the reliance on the middleware systems
It is very useful and the base system for many companies .

In Manufacturing space, the process order life cycle is very streamlined which includes its flow from demand planning, forecasting to delivery and transportation. It is still not the go to tool for MES. Manufacturing Execution Process in SAP has not evolved at all or does not suit most industries. There is immense room for improvement.
