Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds IP Address Manager (IPAM)
SolarWinds IP Address Manager Eliminates IP conflicts and saves time managing DHCP, DNS, and IP Addresses. It also scans subnets to show the open IP address, and adds and removes subnets. The disadvantage is the ability to select multiple IP addresses at one time and it some it overkills for smaller network and little high price.
- Great tool for keeping track of IP addresses.
- Dynamic IP lists and documentation.
- Nice integration with other SolarWinds suite tool.
- Try to integrate with service now
- It showed the MAC addresses of the devices it finds on the scans.
- Specific IP can be complicated
- Easy to use GUI for network IP management, along with its monitoring capabilities with Orion tool.
- backup feature pretty confusing.
- The breaches of their platforms due to inadequate security forced us to switch vendor.
- BlueCat Integrity (Address Manager + DNS/DHCP Server)
The interface to manage and review IP addresses is easy to use and has low complexity. Any user can navigate the tool without issues. I highly recommend this product for a simple interface.
