Overall Satisfaction with StarWind Virtual SAN

We have been using it for over a year and have had no problems since.
  • Synchro between servers is super fast, reliable and 100% functional.
  • They have great support and will help you with anything.
  • Everything works fully automatically and you don't have to worry about anything.
  • Enabled us to replace separate servers with a fail over HA cluster
  • Provide timely configuration support
  • Redundancy/Failover
They have great support and will help you with anything.They answered all my questions and helped me set up production servers. I have not been using StarWind Virtual SAN for very long and have not encountered serious problems that would require contacting support. Post-installation, they provide a 2-hour consultation to ensure that everything is configured by their best practices - during which they accept any decisions you may have made/constraints imposed by hardware without issue.
StarWind Virtual SAN's real value comes to light in a smaller environment like mine. Resources (and budget allocation) are tight - so the ability to add disks to our PowerEdge severs for low cost and then bring them into the vSAN solution allows for us to achieve redundancy and failover without investments that would exceed typical annual investments in infrastructure.

I use StarWind Virtual SAN to provide a cost-effective shared data volume for a simple two-node Windows cluster that provides services to the whole school community via Hyper-V roles. The software was selected on price and performance criteria - at the time of implementation the school did not have the budget for a hardware SAN and StarWind vSAN was a perfect fit for our use case.
