Overall Satisfaction with Tenable.io

Tenable.io is just being used by a small part of the Information Technology department. It addresses the issue of being able to test out servers for vulnerabilities on a regular basis. This helps keep our technology secure and up to date since we utilize the product each week and get results each week.
  • Provides quick reliable vulnerability testing.
  • Publishes the reports in a clean format.
  • It has variety in the types of vulnerability scanning it does.
  • There doesn't seem to be a feature to replicate a previous scan with the same IP addresses as before. You have to manually enter them each time.
  • It would be nice to be able to see the DNS (such as hovering to see it) without having to click on the actual IP address under the specific vulnerability.
  • It would be nice to be able to sort the vulnerabilities found in different ways. There are some options available, but more would be a plus.
  • Allows weekly publishing of reports to update staff
  • Easy to use and helps constantly improve security of technology
  • Helped identify issues before they become a bigger problem

The software is well suited for Information Technology departments that need a way to constantly check their servers and equipment for any and all vulnerabilities. This would be of huge importance to larger organizations with large networks and multiple servers. The software might be less suitable for a smaller organization with a more localized network or need, but that isn't necessarily a guarantee. I think it's appropriate for any Information Technology departments.

Using Tenable.io

5 - Tenable is mostly used by our network security and network engineers. They represent the individuals who keep our network strong and secure in a business setting. Tenable is helpful to test our network and servers for vulnerabilities and anything else that we might not notice on a weekly basis if it were not for Tenable.
2 - A good network engineer should be able to support Tenable on a daily basis.

We like to renew tenable each year we have had it so far.

I give it this rating since I have never had an issue with receiving adequate support for this product. Any and all concerns have been dealt with in a timely manner, and there are ample options for getting help with any issues a user might experience with working with this product.

We do not pay for premium support yet since we have not have enough issues or needs to require a premium support feature. Usually our issues are solved by our account manager or the normal support team in a prompt matter, so haven't felt the need to opt into the premium support yet.
Yes - It wasn't a bug on their end so much as something on our end, but our scanners were failing to connect one day and Tenable worked diligently to try and determine the reasoning. They were in communication the whole way to try and determine why our scanners weren't connecting, and they stayed in touch until we solved the issue.
We had an issue with our scanner not connecting as they usually were. Tenable promptly responded to us and tried to brainstorm ideas about why this issue was occurring. They were attentive and asked questions in order to understand the possible issue. We ended up solving it mostly on our end, but they were responsive through the whole process.
