Overall Satisfaction with ThousandEyes

We use it to identify network performance issues and to capture data when we get a complaint that "the network is slow."
It's also useful for application owners and line-of-business managers to get an accurate understanding of application and network performance. With transaction tests, app teams can perform performance tests from multiple locations quickly and easily. This significantly reduces the effort required for performance testing after a change is made.
  • Detailed network performance data
  • Deep information on web page loading
  • Transaction testing
  • Network monitoring - there is limited SNMP monitor
  • Network config data - if there's a performance issue ThousandEyes can show where the issue might be, but not why.
  • Complicated licensing model
  • Provides visibility into network performance
  • Can reduce MTTR for network issues

Any environment that uses pretty much any form of WAN and where network performance is important. The best examples would be critical web applications accessed from multiple locations. ThousandEyes can provide a huge amount of performance information from agents anywhere on the network. The biggest benefit is it provides data to support claims of slowness or proof that the network is performing as expected.
