Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO Jaspersoft
- Flexible licensing for an ISV
- Can embed, customise and change the look and feel to integrate well with our products to provide a seamless experience
- Usability can be an issue when creating ad-hoc reports for end users, they need to know the capabilities of the domain model and be "power users"
- Expensive for a small ISV, annual subscription
Tableau and Qlikview reporting probably have better end-user experiences but can't be easily embedded in a Web app. Microsoft BI suite needs nearly a full stack of the latest versions of SQL Server, Excel and Sharepoint which an ISV can't assume its customers have. Other alternatives such as BIRT seemed too basic. Logi Analytics was our second choice.
