Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO Spotfire

[It's used] across the whole organization. During the downturn people across the company have started using Spotfire with Teradata as a go-to tool to mine data from our existing systems. With Spotfire we can quickly connect to multiple tables and quickly analyze the data. In addition, Spotfire is more stable than Excel. We have looked at Tableau and Microsoft BI as well. The visualizations are a little snazzier, but in my opinion Spotfire has more usability and it has more options for data crunching.
  • Ease of use and you can change filters on the fly. I've created visualizations in a few seconds during presentations based on feedback from the audience
  • It's more stable and doesn't crash my computer like Excel does.
  • Add more visual themes
  • Make the visualizations look more refined
Tableau and Microsoft BI. Tableau was too expensive for the functionality. Microsoft wasn't as easy to use.
  • In-person training

I've only been to two. One was way too technical and lost the crowd.

The other wasn't as hands on as I would want.

Combining large data sets
