Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Spotfire for visualization and curation of large datasets. The main advantage to using Spotfire over other programs is the ease of visualization and ability to annotate datasets.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Large dataset visualization
Annotation of datasets
Relatively simple use of formulas and calculations on datasets

Cons

It is still a pain to change the style of figures and legends. You can customize positions and size of text but it's annoying to do so.

Alternatives Considered

Some rubbish one from Microsoft that I can't remember the name of.

Likelihood to Recommend

Analyzing large scientific data sets that need to be visualized.
