Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO Spotfire
Spotfire is used mostly for data visualization, for example when it is necessary to find some correlation between multiple data arrays. Spotfire in the organization is used mostly by engineers.
Pros
- Quick data visualization for big datasets.
- Smart data arrangement.
Cons
- Very hard to set up visualization features (fonts, colors, etc- deeply hidden in the menu). Needs to be interactive-- right on the visualization itself.
- Not always consistent report printing (axes names did not fit, missing axes labels).
- Needs to have an option to set up each page individually (filters, fonts, etc).
I would select Tableau over Spotfire, but my company only has Spotfire.
