Overall Satisfaction with Yubico YubiKeys

We use it to have a better layer of security for users that want to avoid to have an OTP, considering that people changes phones a lot, its better to have a physical device for that.

Pros

  • Allow for passwordless entry
  • Fast 2FA

Cons

  • Some NFC models can have detection problems with cases in cellphones
  • The recovery of the passwords could be more painless when a user forgets it
  • Easy use
  • Reducing risk via phishing attacks
Mainly against phishing as we are subjected to widespread campaings that try to emulate our login pages, and even some spear phishing
As always 2FA is difficult to implement, people losing their access, not wanting to enroll and all that.
