Overall Satisfaction with Zscaler Internet Access

We use Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) as an extra layer of protection for on-prem devices, and as the main firewall for off-prem use.

Pros

  • SSL inspection and bypass
  • SAML/SCIM access
  • Pre-generated category blocks

Cons

  • Logging readability
  • Logging searching
  • Logging filters
  • We do not have an applicable ROI
For the most part it is easy to use and navigate, outside of logs. Configuration takes some time as the concepts are fairly new and difficult.

It is well suited as a catch-all firewall for us. We don't use it in a way that is based on an individual level at this point. However, we have been pushing that way in order to further secure out remote users.
