Blacklight Solutions was founded by a team of software executives who saw a gap in their previous ventures when trying to create a smart mix of data and software for their customers.  The fact is, this problem goes way beyond software.  Almost all kinds of products and services today collect data, and very few of them effectively integrate that information back into their products to make them better.  Often product owners turn to the embedded business intelligence space to solve this problem, only to find that is just the tip of the iceberg.   All the while, customer expectations around the services they recieve are growing.  Customers expect smarter products that notify them of problems before they happen, provide dashboards for investigation, facilitate search or even recommend or intervene directly when something is actionable for the customer.  For the last 6 years Blacklight Solutions has been providing consultation and implementation to these organizations and have even built our own data virtualization technology, DataCurrent to accelerate their integrations.   With over 50 customers, Blacklight has been able to help organizations of all sizes put smarter products in front of their customers and generate revenue on those enhancements.
