Outreach is a sales execution platform that helps market-facing teams create and predictably close more pipeline. From prospecting to deal management to forecasting, Outreach leverages automation and artificial intelligence to help revenue leaders increase the efficiency and effectiveness of go-to-market activities and personnel across the revenue cycle. Outreach offers sales engagement, revenue intelligence, and revenue operations functionalities in a unified platform. The software…
Fathom was more intrusive where it had it's own box in Zoom. It looked like there was another person in the meeting with their camera off. Gong manages to record calls without being intrusive at all.
Currently we use Outreach for all our outbounding. The tool allows us to create email sequences, set up meetings and helps with customer profile when prospecting. We will be switching from Outreach to Gong next week and I am excited to see what the capabilities are to help with …
Both Outreach and Salesloft allow for call recording but are missing all features that fall under call intelligence, and simply offer the option to go back and listen to calls.
Gong is ultimately superior with its product offerings and the service that it can provide to the team. Its functionality, ease of use, simple user interface, and accessibility has been proven superior over the other products. My organization has been using Gong since the start …
Showpad is similar to Gong but it doesn't offer the conversation analysis (like a deal stage, what the conversation is about, etc). It doesn't give you tips for follow-up. It also doesn't tell you your performance (i.e. patience, monologuing, etc). So it's fine for recording …
1. Intuitive UI, easy to set up, and quick adoption. 2. More visibility on reporting. 3. Trackers to identify or group certain product calls for feedback. Helps a lot while customizing deal flow.
I think Gong is easier to use and with the pre and post-call emails makes better flow and follow up attainable.

I had used Calabrio ONE at a different company before coming to my current role, and it was good for recording, but that was the only thing it was good at. The AI and capabilities to collaborate and drive feedback and results in Gong.io are just so much better than what I had …
Gong.io stacks up much better against SalesLoft as I feel there is a main value is providing a sales tool to help you record your calls. SalesLoft's core feature is to house your data with a peripheral call recording feature, not a core function.
It was an organization decision but Gong.io seems to provide a better way to focus on the most important calls or subjects at hand - price, competitors, onboarding, etc - and allows calls to be shared across the teams. The ease of use has lead to more adoption and the coaching …
Outreach is just as good as their competitors and from what I understand is much cheaper than some of them. I wasn't part of the buying process, but it seemed to happen pretty quickly so the decision makers in my company must have been impressed enough to make the decision to …
Gong is incredibly helpful to recap on what was said. So many times I will go back to re-listen to a call and I will uncover new facts or details that I will directly use in my follow up. this is huge for finding those pain points in discovery. Really can only think of Gong not being appropriate for private internal calls or when a client specifically asked not to be recorded.
Outreach is well suited for teams that need to do cold outbound to prospects. It's easy enough to create sequences that will use a variety of touchpoints (email, inMail, call, etc...). It's also easy to share sequences with team members to collaborate and the very best messaging. Outreach's integration over Salesforce and Gmail is also invaluable, without it each team member would probably spend hours per week clicking between tabs just to get to prospect information On the other hand, Outreach is not the best to help you create content, as of this writing there is no AI support. It is also worth noting that Outreach's permission structure can create a lot of confusion for team members and that untangling errors at times can become complex
When you log into your Gong account, it automatically takes you to a page that I find is not necessary. I then have to find the correct page to search for calls
It auto-populates what I am typing but is usually incorrect
May take a while for the recording to be available
Gong is extremely easy to use with a clear UX outlining where to find all necessary details. The additions of call summaries and key points, to the existing recording + transcripts now makes it so much easier to quickly get snapshots of what was said during meetings, something that is especially important when deals or accounts are changing hands. With Gong I can get the coles notes in a fraction of time.
The ease of use for outreach is next to none. Everything is clearly explained, you can hop on a call with their support team whenever, and it effortlessly integrates into your computer. You can do everything you need sales related on it, and the learning curve is small. I'd recommend it as a first and last CRM.
I give them a 10 because, I have been using Gong for over a year now and have never had issues or concerns go un resolved in a day or two. Their communication is impeccable and their tech support is very hands on and prompt
The overall support of Outreach has been great. Whenever I have a problem, they were quick to fix it and typically respond within one business day. I don't typically have many requests for support because a lot of my questions can be answered through their knowledge panel. They have been fantastic to work with overall.
Lots of attention from the Outreach training team, with a great willingness to customize to our needs. To be clear, you get out what you put in. If you don't work with them, you'll get cookie-cutter training. But we asked for a lot of customization, and they delivered what we asked for.
CoPilot is good software, and the prices were relatively equal between the two. Gong's representative was more hands on in making us feel comfortable switching software and changing our infrastructure to accommodate. It was this care and handholding that put us over the edge. The actual product between the two was marginal and for our needs made no difference.
Greater acceptance of a live conversation by our customers, especially the ones that weren't so responsive via email.
Greater understanding of how to better interact with every customer and personalize our workflow for each of them.
An increase in the good spirits among the team, since all participate in the review meetings, they are no longer shy or don't feel victimized anymore when working on improving our skillset.
The huge positive impact it had was the team not needing to spend as much time as disengaged opps as they were engaged ones. We were able to set sequences to work with them while the team could focus on generating new leads or converting Opps.
For an AE - post demo communication is important. With templates and snippets we could just click a few buttons and have a really nice email sent out with the relevant information and then the next several steps already planned out. This freed up time for us and even allowed us to take calls a lot sooner after demo's then before. For busy days this was very helpful.
