Key Features
Text-to-speech: According to the vendor, eCall Business Messaging can convert SMS messages into voice messages and deliver them to mobile phones and landline phones. This can be done directly from the eCall account or through an interface (API). The text-to-speech function is said to be supported worldwide, with the ability to confirm receipt.
Four areas of application: The vendor suggests that eCall Business Messaging can be used for various purposes, such as delivering access codes, activation PINs, and mTANs. It can also be used for sending urgent messages related to staff scheduling and coordination, alerting technicians about critical malfunctions or measured values, and assisting people with visual impairments by calling and reading the message to them.
SMS read aloud for people with impaired vision: According to the vendor, eCall Business Messaging allows users to send voice messages to any mobile or landline phone. The system is claimed to call the recipient and read the message aloud. Users can listen to the message again and manually confirm its receipt. If the recipient is unreachable, the system is said to repeat the message twice with a five-minute interval.
Read aloud mTANs and other security codes: The vendor states that eCall Business Messaging enables the sending of mTANs and other confidential information as text-to-speech messages. This is said to ensure secure transmission via voice call. Unlike text messages, voice messages are claimed to always reach their destination without experiencing delivery delays. The vendor also mentions an option for additional security called High Privacy Voice, which overwrites the message.
eCall saves the landline SMS: According to the vendor, eCall Business Messaging allows users to send SMS messages to landline phones, delivering them as audio messages. Additionally, the system is said to be able to receive and forward SMS from technical devices.
