This product reduces our reliability on physical servers. In turn, this also reduces our licensing, storage, and maintenance costs and simplifies printer installs for our employees.
  • Converts server share printer name to direct IP address printing.
  • Easily connects to on-prem print servers to capture existing print drivers, IP addresses, and printer profiles.
  • Users can easily map new printers by clicking the printer object on floor plan maps.
  • Cross platform printer installs makes this product a winner.
  • Installing postscript drivers is not currently supported.
Reducing potential vulnerability footprint is where this product shines most of all. Additionally, the ease of converting the printer objects for different OS platforms is what makes this product the best option for businesses that utilize Windows, MacOS, Linux, etc. Deploying the agent to devices is easily accomplished by Microsoft Configuration Manager, Intune, JamF, or other systems management solutions.
  • Ease of installing printers through a floor plan map
  • Ease of maintaining printers
  • Ease of uploading, configuring and creating new printers
  • PrinterLogic has reduced our need for on-prem print servers by 95%, in 11 months.
Ease of use, configuration, and maintenance. The support and rapid response provided by PrinterLogic has been fantastic. The additional benefit is since this is a cloud solution means that as new features are released by PrinterLogic, we can begin leveraging them very quickly, with a minimal amount of effort, and little to no internal customer downtime.
We were able to reduce out print server footprint by about 90% in the first 11 months or rolling this product out and going live. Our end users absolutely love the fact that they can easily locate their printers based on their location on a map, and self-install the printer then need. Furthermore, our IT staff at each location loves the fact that we can lock down printer access so that only certain specific users can map themselves and print to a printer.

  • Reduce dependency of on-prem servers
  • Reduce vulnerability footprint
  • End-user self-service to install printers

  • Scalability
  • Ease of Use
Cloud Solution was the most important factor and the fact that this would centralize all our printers into one single solution and platform for management and scalability.
I would not change anything at this time
Implementation of PrinterLogic was super easy
  • Implemented in-house
Yes
We started Printerlogic implementation by going live with Corporate Office first, and then we rolled it out across the 50+ other locations across the United States
Change management was minimal
Our change management process is mature. We were able to make changes 2 days after submitting the change management requests in most cases.
  • Getting IT from the remote sites to schedule time with us for training and coming up with a rollout date and time
  • No Training
It was easy to learn without any formal training, as long as you understand print servers, drivers, and print profiles
I think PrinterLogic configurability is just right. It does what it is supposed to do well, and easily.
No - we have not done any customization to the interface
No - we have not done any custom code
PrinterLogic support has been quick to answer questions and help us to resolve minor issues that have come up.
We did not purchase premium support, as we have a fairly knowledgeable IT staff to handle the day to day issues
No
  • Uploading print drivers from print servers is easy
  • Uploading floor plan maps is easy
  • Setting up the printer objects on the floorplan is easy
  • Assigning security access to printers is easy
  • Creating printer deployments to users based on security groups is easy
  • Uploading certain Mac drivers is difficult or impossible
We have rolled PrinterLogic out to 50+ locations, and scalability has not been an issue
So far, PrinterLogic has been available for end users without any issues reported as far as we are aware.
A colleague has reported a performance issue with loading printer profiles on Edge. It sometimes takes a very long time to come up, and sometimes not at all, but he switches over to Chrome, and the interface comes up very quickly. This might be a fringe case, since I am able to launch the same profile on Edge browser without any problems.

Interaction with the sales team was great. They were able to handle all our questions and requests.

We implemented PrinterLogic to replace a number of Windows print servers being used across our 4 locations. Add PrinterLogic removed the need for multiple print servers at each of these locations. Furthermore, it enabled our users to manage their own printers without administrator access required. This is a significant weight off of our relatively small Help Desk team. We've been able to provide simple instructions and let the users manage things on their own. This has been a huge help to the organization.
  • Ease of use - even non-tech savvy users have been able to manage their own printers.
  • Easy to implement.
  • Relatively easy to administrate.
  • More advanced printing options; as a law firm, we may have niche/specific needs, but we're still learning.
PrinterLogic is well suited to larger IT environments that currently use on-premises printer servers for management purposes. I could see a small-to-medium-sized business in a single location where a single print server would be a simpler solution than rolling out PrinterLogic. The process to migrate printers from multiple Windows Print Servers was a bit challenging but ultimately worth the time spent.
  • Self-management of printers
  • Single point of management for all servers at all locations
  • Less need for Help Desk involvement.
  • Easier print management for IT Director and I as Systems Admin.
  • Adding new printers is less time-consuming.
Once everything had been configured and implemented, it has been very easy to maintain and support.
It's been extremely helpful to consolidate all of our printers into one interface rather than maintaining multiple print servers across four separate sites. Empowering users to manage and maintain their own printers has been much appreciated from the IT Department, especially our Help Desk team.
We have not used nor evaluated other print management solutions.

We use it across seven offices with printers in each location. We removed the need to use Group Policy and a print server, which in turn reduced costs.
  • No need for servers.
  • IP address auto adding.
  • New features and updates.
  • From what I have seen no improvements.
When cloud-based offices have no need for print servers. When moving to a cloud environment with less support in the offices.
  • Removable of print server hosting costs.
  • Ability to reduce support costs by not needing to remote into the server to reset printer spool.
Printer logic was recommended by other IT Managers, so I did not look at other options.
Very easy to use and also to manage, one small client and a chrome browser plugin and worked seemless
  • Adding client to all machines
  • Ip address lookup and auto install
  • none
