We use the full suite of SAP SuccessFactors modules at our organisation and use it to manage the lifecycle of employee data within the organisation. It is user friendly application and intuitive to use. SuccessFactors enhances the application with their half yearly release cycle and keep their software upto date with the latest trends in the market i.e. AI features and skills based organisation. We are currently exploring the use of colleague's skills to drive internal mobility across the organisation and train them as needed to bridge their skills gap and make them future ready for internal vacancies. This will not only help them to reach their aspired roles but also help the organisation attain cost savings by reducing the dependency on external sub-contractors. The modules are integrated well with lots of potential in the reporting area to help organisations make informed decisions about the future.

Presently for core HR transactional activities (HR, Payroll, REC, ONB), but into the nest phase for LMS, Performance, Compensation. The second phase allows us to utilise the technology for our growing ambitions. SAP SuccessFactors addresses issues around interpolation for our data, but also provides a consistent, integrated data base that address wider benefits both up and downstream.
  • Ease of use - For the most part the software is intuitive
  • Extensibility - Ability to drive more functionality from connection modules and tools
  • Continuous development - Progress of development gives confidence to customers that the product will continue to remain relevant
  • Consistency - Parts of the system move forward at different speeds, so visual UI can be inconsistent
  • ECP - Needs to move to fully cloud based without need for native GUI access
  • Configure Business Rules - Needs to move to a modern drag and drop workflow builder style interface to build whole processes. Sharing rules with SMEs doesn’t give them the full appreciation of workflows/calculations/approvals/notifications steps
To my previous points, there are some areas where SAP SuccessFactors need to develop the solution for end user SuperAdmins. When we transcribe requirements and workbooks back to customers, who often think in terms of visual workflows, we suffer because of the way in which configure business rules work/are built. In addition, not everything is focused under business config/configure business rules and therefore Recruitment has its own specific config, as does ONB. Overall however, it’s a great SaaS and very obvious how much cotinuous development SAP are putting behind the suite of tools.

I use SAP SuccessFactors as system admin for the modules PMGM COMP and EC. We use SF for all employee transactions, at the moment from change of address to yearly salaries reviews which the system help us to achieve, the system help us to automate HR data load and create an easy and powerful for our employees

SAP SuccessFactors modules are integrated which makes the job easier for the users and us as systems administrators, also provides you a whole view of the process and with reports which are very useful. I really enjoyed customizing the performance cycle for our company and also saw the big improvement of doing the compensation cycle using SAP SuccessFactors (Annual Salary Review and Bonus payments through compensation worksheets.

Sometimes, feedback is not taken into account, and ways to manage changes are limited. Certain features we would expect to exist - mobile phone number data entry with country code validation, etc. - do not exist and are not on any roadmap. If you buy partner products through SF as a customer, you get stuck in the middle regarding support and queries.

SAP SuccessFactors enables MAG to have a holistic view of its people and organisational data. we use it to track the applicants and input feedback.
Then when they join, they also get pushed through to employee status on the platform. I use it only at the start of their employee journey to ensure docuemnts etc is all ok, after that it is more HR team that will use it.

We use it to manage our employee populations data, hiring and termination scenarios, payroll data, managing relationships between mangers and their direct reports, and organizational structure influencing different departments and smaller teams within those larger departments. To a certain degree contract employee data is also on the platform for us in a similar capacity to full time staff.

  • The integration center is helpful for supporting our downstream platforms
  • Auditing changes to data is fairly straightforward
  • Opening multiple instances of SAP SuccessFactors seems to be supported
  • When dealing with unique organizational structures it would be nice to be able to customize existing structures to match it
SAP SuccessFactors is fairly flexible and looks clean from a user perspective to use. It can accommodate most standard organizational structures, and configuring the platform is fairly flexible and adaptable. From our experience SAP SuccessFactors is well suiting for all sizes if the cost of utilizing it works financially.

  • Org Chart management should sync across the position org chart automatically instead of having to make changes in multiple places
Recruiting is great, onboarding 2.0 has been a bit of a struggle but I again believe it may be how our partners set it up.

Immediate terminations often leave the termianted EE sitting as active due to workflows, but that is kind of the way things will be when the termination has to be actioned faster

Also use for leave management, HR policies, organization chart, rewards and reorganization. Internally use for appreciation of other colleagues. Travel and other expenses reimbursement uses. Learning and development also utilizes through SAP success factor. So it beneficial for us.
  • Leave management of self and team is very well, we can check subordinates timing and leave status in a single clicks.
  • Training and development corner is very helpful to us, we can self register and also assign to subordinates.
  • We can check our organization chart structure. It is helpful to connect them.

  • Inbuilt competencies selection should be there, It will help to easy out during performance review.
  • Training and other activities can to provided in graphical design.
  • There can be a option of email and contact number directory.
I prefer to maximum because the ease of access and work. Interface is too much simple, anybody can understand. It makes our work easier. Earlier software we use was not have too much feature in. Managing your goals is very easy if you want to change or improvement. Succession planning part can be improved.
