Overall Satisfaction with Xactly Incent
We have integrated Xactly with Salesforce to calculate our earned commissions for our Sales, SDRs, and Account Manager teams. Previously, all calculations were managed in spreadsheets, and we now use Xactly to calculate commissions on a monthly and quarterly basis. Our Sales leaders also use the Xactly forecasting tool.
- Calculate.
- Product Support.
- Account management.
- Reporting within Incent directly - YTD reporting.
- Analytics - make reports easier to create.
- Streamline plan generation.
- Commission calculation has improved from a 3-person job to a 1-person job, so the savings is clear.
- However, it is also clear that upon initial system configuration plans, we set up based on a time crunch - instead of being thought out and set up in a streamlined manner that is simpler to update on a go-forward basis. It is due to this that we have had to utilize Professional Services to assist with plan updates instead of being able to update plans via self-service.
I'm not part of the team that handles this side of the plan management. However, I do know the data is reported monthly to review the overall performance of the various teams. It is based on these findings that forecasting is based, and our planning and ops teams determine if/where plan adjustments are needed for the future.
I know Xactly services are used for these purposes, but to exactly what extent, I'm not sure.
Yes, the interrogation of the systems allows for less manual updates monthly.

Xactly has much more to offer than Sales Cookie and is better for a larger company with more complex plans. Whereas, I would say Xaclty seems to be in line with Performio on all aspects: set up, plan design, calculation, and reporting. Also, seem to be for the same size businesses. Coming from a finance background, CapitvateIQ is very straight forward and system use is really simple. However, the adaptability of company growth is a concern.
