Adaptive Metadata Manager vs. SAP Information Steward

Any team or organization with complex budgeting and financing could benefit from Adaptive Metadata Manager's ability to track, sort, organize, and analyze volumes of complex financial information. It's extremely valuable for our quarterly reforecasting exercises and lets us stay on track for our budgeting and accounting processes. As a budget manager, I get a detailed snapshot of my YTD expenses.

SAP Information Steward is well suited for companies looking for profiling data, monitoring data quality and managing policies. It provides dashboards and features to create the awareness on Data Quality dimensions. SAP IS is not suited to manage huge amount of data due to performance issues. It is not designed to correct data by its own. However, It can remediate data through integration with SAP Master Data Governance or SAP Data Services.

• Control features and identification of risk wrt data
• Ready recknor in form of advance bi reports for procurement and costing kpi
• Flexible comparison and filter functio ality across cross organisation data

• More real-time integration scenarios needed.
• Needs more generic standard content for metadata management.
• The user interface can be more intuitive based on AI.

It's a perfectly functional software but isn't intuitive right out of the box. With some training, it's easy to use.

I haven't needed to use Adaptive Metadata Manager support.

I believe many features from SAP Information Steward are available in other SAP products as well hence it is more confusing for business or customers to do the right selection. Moreover SAP strategy is not very clear for this particular product hence often we are confused while exploring more related scenarios

Ready recknoer tools that act as reference are missing that can help to formulate ;Decision Driven Framework' for various strategic decesions

I haven't used any other similar products and am unfamiliar with any other options. Speaking generally, Adaptive Metadata Manager's user interface is occasionally buggy and doesn't always allow for smooth navigation. It's easy to get lost in the myriad reports and sheets on occasion.
