Ataccama ONE vs. IBM Cloud Pak for Data

After evaluating many of the leading data governance/management tools in the industry, Ataccama ONE quickly became a front-runner for our firm's needs and requirements. I particularly like how Ataccama focuses on investing a portion of its revenue on user-suggested enhancements - they truly want to grow with their clients, which is what we were looking for.

IBM Cloud Pak for Data is best suited for data and analytics scenarios. Clients working with AI/ML-based models looking for analytical capabilities can make the best out of the service offering. Model generation and customization-based scenarios are well-handled by IBM Cloud Pak for Data. A startup with a strict budget that wants to implement an AI/ML-based solution would not be an ideal scenario for using this product due to budget limitations.

• Does not support as wide of a tech stack range as I would like.
• It would be nice if it came with a user hotkey function out of the box.
• Having concurrent user usage licenses would be ideal.

• Basically I feel price is not very pocket friendly especially for the small business organisation. Should introduce flexible pricing plans.
• The templates can sometimes be to cumbersome to customize and there are more manual steps when it comes to down time.

One of the key factors in our choice to onboard Ataccama was its usability - general end users have everything at their fingertips, it is not difficult for IT developers to setup the tool, and it has been an overall pleasure.

Support has been excellent to date - very user friendly and knowledgeable to help support our needs and issues as they arise.

Ataccama ONE was a clear winner during our evaluation of many other products/vendors. Their offering was the best suited for our needs, and they are a company that we want to grow with over time.

The best thing about IBM Cloud it foster productivity by enabling users to find existing data or to request access to data. It provides modern tools that facilities analytics and remove silos, barriers to collaboration, thus enables users to spend less time finding data more time using it effectively. It overall enables us to put our data to work quickly and efficiently.
