Brown Paper Tickets vs. Eventleaf

For non-profits running free trainings, Brown Paper Ticket is great because there are no fees for using the service for this, whereas most other event registration software charges a per transaction fee. I wouldn't recommend it if you are hosting a conference or other event where there are breakout sessions that you need to register people for.

I have used Bloomerang's event management option, which is not very easy to use or pliable when it comes to customization. Evite - not professional enough Regonline - not very user friendly and the fees are a bit high. Qgiv - Very easy to use and has great reporting. However, there is a fee to use it for free events.

The team that presented the live demo were very helpful, answered what might have seemed like dumb questions from me (being new at this) with respect and helpfulness. • It has saved us countless hours on the phone with customer care--we spent 10 years with a big-brand event management company which equated to 100s of hours on the phone with customer service. I haven't had to contact customer service yet.
