Celigo vs. Panoply

If you need to connect NetSuite to some other platform or application, you should reach for Celigo. It is a true Integration Platform. I can write code and build integrations from scratch, but they will never be as solid as what Celigo already has built. Also, Celigo gives non-developers superpowers. In NetSuite, it can be used as an alternative to SuiteScripting.

Panoply is well suited for companies with large amounts of data that do not want all users of the company to see or view. It is appropriate for companies that have to store data for several years in case clients need the data. It is not made to constantly be downloading or looking at the documents.

• Previewing data transformations and scripts in real time
• Ability to retry data and manage errors when something goes wrong
• Pre built apps for quick implementation

• Ease of data integrations. Importing data into the data warehouse is a point-and-click effort.
• Automated data modeling. The data is modeled in a way that facilitates analysis without having to look into it myself.
• Query speed. Automated query optimization has really sped up our dashboards.

• Documentation has gotten better over the years, but could improve.
• Marketing efforts could be greater. Its a terrific product that people should know about
• More webinars could be helpful to show how folks are saving time and money.

• The user interface could use some improvement for analytical tools. Apart from that, it’s great.

There is a bit of a learning curve, but not bad. Once you get a flow or two under your belt, there will be no stopping you. You will start to see possibilities and ways to apply automation and integration throughout your business. It becomes fun to look for additional ways to save money, time, and improve accuracy

It’s a good choice for building a quick, multipurpose data stack for a variety of businesses needs.

Had some rough patches in the beginning, but they were resolved.

Celigo handles errors much much better. Celigo stores templates all in one place making them much easier to find. Celigo interacts with your database as you are working allowing you to pull picklist values right from your db Celigo does not upsert large datasets as quickly and can take quite some time

Panoply has much more storage and better organization tools for searching. There are better folders and tools for keeping documents secure and stored for a long period of time. It is better to offload data in mass than singular or Zip drive documents like you would do in Google Drive.

• Saved time on Redshift setup
• Saved support costs (monetary and temporal) by not having to set up on-premise
• Widens the BI tool use in organization; lowers the barrier to entry and makes organization more productive in analytical terms
