ChartLogic EMR vs. Epic EpicCare EMR

ChartLogic is great for a practice that wants an EMR but doesn't want/need all the bells and whistles of a giant like Epic. It allows each individual doctor to create their own templates, smart fields and ways of seeing their messages, encounters etc so that while you have one EMR system each doctor can make it their own. Little to no computer experience or training needed to make things work easily.

Best for any medical clinic that is connected to a major medical center. Not good for stand-alone clinics or an EMR system in Spanish.

• Quick. Very quick.
• Simple and elegant interface.
• Simultaneous past and present records view.

• One centralized location for medical records review, retrieval, additions/updates, etc.
• User-friendly application.
• Well know in the field, therefore training is easier than with a foreign (unknown) system.

• Seems to usually be one extra unneeded "ok" button you have to click to make things save
• Wish it had more reporting options

Haven't used many others but out of the ones I have used, it's the best and I definitely recommend it.

Better integration and workflow with multidisciplinary clinics. More hospitals have EPIC. Mobile use is easy - more platforms allow us to access data.

• I am not up to speed on the ROI for the product.
