Cisco Secure Cloud Analytics vs. FortiSIEM

Cisco Secure Cloud Analytics is well suited for network monitoring and starts off as learning how your day to day traffic flows amongst systems and assets. From there it can then pinpoint specific alerts that you have enabled to be monitored on your network. This gives us insight on any issues that may come up and how we can fix them. It also allows us to see what systems are consuming the most bandwidth and such from a big picture point of view.

If budget is an issue then Fortisiem fits well, as it's more than a typical SIEM solution. It can integrate with environmental monitoring systems, UPS HVAC etc. It can be used as the CMDB solution etc. If fine-tuned and looked after it can actually bring a lot of value for less.

• Add description of NetFlow probe, so you know which device it's configured on without logging into the actual switch

• Non-intuitive/unattractive user interface
• Too many features that will usually remain unused
• Very crowded (too many icons) portal
• The reporting feature is confusing, e.g. you have to click on the "refresh" button to get the result of your inquiry. The report generation process can be much easier, as the user interaction is not pleasant.

Site loads smoothly without issues. Reports pull quickly as well. Overall no issues with this products performance for us

If anything Cisco Secure Cloud Analytics only compliments other Cisco tools. We run a Cisco security stack and each one of those products only enhance and better the other product. Ultimately enhancing and protecting your network at its fullest capabilities. Cisco Secure Cloud Analytics doesn't only stack up, but adds another layer of visibility to help your company out.

• Cisco Secure Cloud Analytics has provided us with detailed reporting on what are needs are in regards to network stability

• Other SIEM solutions were cost prohibitive at the time of purchase (2016).
• Just like any other SIEM, it helped draw a better picture of our current security posture.
