Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Secure Cloud Analytics

We use Cisco Secure Cloud Analytics as netflow monitoring of our network. This tool helps us monitor east/west and north/south traffic between all our network devices. From there we take advantage of the alerting Cisco Secure Cloud Analytics provides if it be anomalies or other areas of concern with traffic between all our assets. Once alerted we mitigate and escalate the issues to our support / infrastructure staff to investigate in more detail and remediate any issues that came up.

Pros

  • Netflow
  • Alerting / Watchlists
  • Reporting

Cons

  • More integrations with other Cisco tools or 3rd party vendors
  • Add description of NetFlow probe, so you know which device it's configured on without logging into the actual switch
  • Updated UI
  • Cisco Secure Cloud Analytics has helped us mitigate network security issues
  • Cisco Secure Cloud Analytics has provided us with detailed reporting on what are needs are in regards to network stability
  • UI is stale and could use an update
If anything Cisco Secure Cloud Analytics only compliments other Cisco tools. We run a Cisco security stack and each one of those products only enhance and better the other product. Ultimately enhancing and protecting your network at its fullest capabilities. Cisco Secure Cloud Analytics doesn't only stack up, but adds another layer of visibility to help your company out.

Cisco Secure Cloud Analytics is well suited for network monitoring and starts off as learning how your day to day traffic flows amongst systems and assets. From there it can then pinpoint specific alerts that you have enabled to be monitored on your network. This gives us insight on any issues that may come up and how we can fix them. It also allows us to see what systems are consuming the most bandwidth and such from a big picture point of view.

Cisco Security

Security plays a huge role in achieving our business goals. Not only does it protect our end users, but also the data we share amungst our business partners. Investing in cybersecurity is an ongoing process that aligns with our broader strategic objectives, ensuring both its current operations and future growth are protected from evolving threats within our network.
Cisco's Security Stack was what brought us. The integration and visibility between all the products we use today with Cisco has helped us by leaps and bounds. Moving forward I only see us strengthening this partnership with Cisco products as long as they continue to evolve and stay relavant to our business needs with security.
Cisco offered integration amungst all security tools they provide today. Where others lack in ares of that complete full circle of protection.
We chose this to get more visibility of not only east and west traffic within our four walls, but north / south traffic of what our devices are communicating with on the outside as well. Instead of a 1000 foot view we now have a much better scope of visibility of device traffic on our network.
We look to start hardening our network with AI and the tools Cisco has to provide. With products like Umbrella and Ciscos Firewalls we can implement quick wins blocking generative AI applications and the unknows about what any of these can do if they be harmful or even vetted AI tools. AI is going to impact everything and it is everywhere now, so seeing Cisco put forth effort in this area is very important.
Yes, we use this today and it helps us alot catching possible low hanging threats and stopping them in their tracks before they can become something more.
AI can help improving threat detection accuracy. It is also more real time analysis of data of devices and traffic on your network. It can also be hardened to reduce human error.

Using Cisco Secure Cloud Analytics

6 - They represent all aspects of our business and its ability to function at the highest level.
1 - This person is one of six on an Infrastructure team. That team as lean as it is with our organization has to cover alot of ground not only from the server side or database side. They also cover the entire network side of the business as well. So tools we can use to help us is very important.
  • Netflow
  • Alerts and Watchlists
  • Enhances Security on our Network
  • Traffic management
  • Research of vulnerabilities
  • Reporting
