I use Clario to access platforms unavailable in my country. Our company uses them to place our products and we need vpn to access those links and Clario has it so it’s a great match. We have used another corporate app before but it has been costly and didn’t have so many servers available - so I’m actually happy we don’t need it anymore. I didn’t have enough time to get to know all the tools. I know there is an antivirus and a hacker check or something, but since I use Clario mostly for work, this isn’t really relevant to my daily work routine. Actually I guess it must be nice to have a separate business version with some specific file security features like shredder and different pricing.
I leave it connected all the time, whether I am browsing or not. It is a safety switch that needs to be engaged constantly to protect my computer from anyone or any organization wishing to gather data on my activity. My research suggested that a VPN may slow my search speed, but I have not found that to be the case. In fact, I can not even tell the difference in search speed when I am connected to the VPN or disconnected.
