Cloud Elements shines when you want to offer multiple options to the user on a type of system, such as supporting integration to CRM and wanting to offer Dynamics, Salesforce, and HubSpot on equal footing. If you only have a single integration with a single system, using Cloud Elements adds an unnecessary layer of abstraction.

Dancing Numbers
Dancing Numbers is ideal for small to medium-sized businesses needing an easy-to-use, cost-effective accounting solution, particularly during transitions from manual bookkeeping or other software. It’s especially useful for firms with basic accounting needs or limited expertise, offering automation for routine tasks. However, it may not be suitable for large enterprises with complex financial operations, businesses requiring advanced customization, or those in highly regulated industries. It also might fall short for companies with extensive international operations or high transaction volumes.

Pros
Discontinued Products
  • The API itself is very robust and easy to use, being a standard REST interface, standard HTTP response codes, well-packaged error messages, etc.
  • Their uptime is great! I think I've seen one (short) 5-minute' blip' the entire time we've been connected for any type of primary function.
  • Their support is top notch, they respond quickly, and the team that works with you is communicative and knowledgable.

Cons
Discontinued Products
  • The only thing I can think of that they could improve is the quality of the assets they produce in the go-to-market process. This is a huge value add service, but the quality of what was produced was lower than what we would have produced internally. We spent more time going back and forth on the assets than it would have taken us to build them from scratch.

Dancing Numbers
I’ve been using Dancing Numbers for a few months now, and overall, it’s been a great experience. The platform is user-friendly and intuitive, making it relatively easy to navigate even for someone with a moderate level of accounting knowledge. The automated data entry and reconciliation features are particularly helpful, saving us a significant amount of time and reducing manual errors. The integration with various accounting systems is a big plus, allowing us to seamlessly connect with our existing tools. Customer support has been responsive and helpful whenever we’ve had questions or needed assistance. However, there are a few areas where Dancing Numbers could improve. While the core functionalities are strong, some advanced features feel a bit limited compared to competitors. Additionally, the pricing structure could be more flexible to accommodate different business sizes and needs.Overall, Dancing Numbers is a solid choice for businesses looking to streamline their accounting processes with a reliable tool, though there’s room for enhancement in certain areas.

  • Not my area of expertise, but it made my job as an implementer much easier, especially after finishing the first integration.
