Cloudimage vs. Salsify

This software is well-suited when images are hosted on your own server, but it is less well suited when requiring the "full package" such as manipulations, hosting, uploader, etc.

If you're looking for a tool to be able to syndicate singular products to other platforms, Salsify does well. Where it falls down a bit is when you're creating kits or bundles and trying to pass that data along to other applications. Overall, it's the best syndication platform we've found in the market.

• The customer service is AMAZING! They walked us through everything step by step... multiple times. They are also working with us on how to identify our goals.

• Pricing.
• Intermittent Dashboard Issues.
• Image resize traunches. So 100px windows of resizing rather than pixel-perfect rescaling to save on cache size/delivery volume.

• A better GUI interface
• Better support as at times it takes a while to hear back from them
• More user training have better efficiency on using the software

I am only giving it a 9 because they are working on streamlining the uploading process to make things easier on our end - once this is complete I would most likely give it a 10!

We have a single contact point, but CI has been immaculate with their support offering. Instantaneous and comprehensive.

The team is extremely friendly and helpful. They came in for an in-house training and schedule calls to walk us through new features, etc.

We chose Cloudimage for the value for money, and the ability to link with our own hosting.

I was not directly involved in the purchase decision process to acquire Salsify as we started using it after it, but I can tell the Team decided on Salsify for a number of solid reasons including functionalities, price, integration options, and usability. Otherwise, we would have kept the older tool or decided on a different provider. Salsify took the lead as the ideal solution for us earlier this year.

• Same or lower cost as before and more possibilities than before
• Using a GDPR respecting, European (French) based company
• Using more features like watermarking, fallback image, precise 404 handling
