Contactbook vs. Next.js

Contactbook is really simple to use, even for non techies. The people that can collaborate with you just need to log-in and the app starts working. This was really important because we needed an accessible app for anyone involved in the project. Sometimes our clients were just getting started using apps, and the good ui and helpful text from Contactbook helped a lot

I love using Next.js — it's my go-to framework for new personal projects and work projects. The local development environment is quick, easy, and fun to use. The framework it uses, which puts an API that runs node in your pages subdirectory, is absolutely genius. No more middleware! It's good for quick projects and big projects alike. I wouldn't use Next.js if I did not want to heavily rely on serverless tech.

• The free trial is not enough to try all the product, but you can start with a beginner plan
• It would be good to be able to speed up the sync process

• Window sizing makes handling SSR pages odd, at times
• React can be easier to statically deploy

Contactbook was easier to use, because Zoho ContactManager apps weren't so easy to use between our team and our clients. We ended up going for Contactbook because our clients asked for alternatives, and we managed all the project with Contactbook. It has been a good experience since the very start. Also the free trial was nice to gather some information about the app.

Next.js takes the best parts of React and applies them to a full-stack dev environment. With a built-in serverless API, it's easy to boot up a web application in under an hour. With easy integration with tools like Firebase, Supabase, Stripe, and countless others, Next.js is a perfect tool for getting your idea out into the real world.
