Cookiebot by Usercentrics vs. Osano

Any situation where a business needs to implement user-level control and consent over cookies from a website or web app is a suitable place to implement Cookiebot. It has a great deal of flexibility in how you trigger/kill cookies, and in how the user can activate or view features like re-visiting the consent popup at a later date or viewing the cookie declaration. They've really made Cookiebot into a component for your existing website rather than a standalone app.

Osano is well-suited for startups and small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) due to its low cost and excellent service. The customer support is also commendable. It consistently notifies you of missing privacy policies or cookie compliance issues on your webpage. Additionally, it requires mandatory two-factor authentication (2FA) at login, enhancing security.

• The organization of the environments where Cookiebot is being used requires a slight learning curve and some getting used to.
• Viewing user's cookie preferences is a little cumbersome.

• [I] would like to have more details on what the scripts/cookies are for (it isn't always clear).
• The step-by-step process of classifying scripts and saving vs. publishing is clunky and unclear.
• Some [of the] naming conventions aren't intuitive - compliance mode, strict, passive, etc.

In comparing the offering from our hosting company against Cookiebot, Cookiebot was the winner hands down. Easy to set up, use and monitor it met all of the criteria we had used in our search and at a reasonable price.

I prefer Osano over others for it's easy of configuration and flexibility to adjust language dynamical and legal requirements dynamically based on user device and/or location. Plus easily add team members to help manage the various parts of the software make this a one stop shop solution for our business.
