Copper Project vs. Deltek Ajera

Copper Project is one of the best online project management and communication tools are available for businesses of all types. Creating and assigning the task to other team members becomes easy as it does on its own easily.

For small to medium engineering and architecture firms, Ajera appears to be the right size. Beyond the engineering software, Deltek Ajera has all the features a small to medium firm will need for smooth operation. AR, AP, Payroll, reporting, project management are all in one package. We chose to self-host because the licensing was more cost effective for us, but cloud hosting is also available.

• It has been a great find for me as it reduces my work and make me more productive at other work which I usually neglect them because of excessive work.
• The platform is trending on top of list worldwide because of its stand out feature task structure.

• Widgets are the best feature of Ajera. Designers can make tiny reports for the entire company, or for one or two individuals. These little reports are the first things that the employee sees when they log in. Viewers of the reports are able to filter, sort, group, print or export the widget without impacting the other users. Deltek has been releasing new features that allow the editing of data in widgets. You can now create new projects or edit timesheets from the widgets.
• Credit card importing and credit card reconciliation in Ajera has greatly decreased time spent by administration. You can import credit card transactions from your credit cards. It saves on data entry, and it is easy to see what receipts you are missing when you get the statement.
• Mobile timesheets and expense reports help engineers or other users enter their time and expenses as they are on the go. They can take pictures or receipts or submit their timesheet from home.
• The Project Command Center is a one stop fountain of information. Everything the project manager wants to know about a project can be found here. You can also add custom fields that allow you to tract addition information.

• The biggest drawback that Copper Project has that it becomes slow at times [in my experience].
• Secondly, to manage anything in the platform I have to make a ticket every time to make any changes which are frustrating for me a lot.
• [In my experience] it usually becomes clunky and slow while dealing with large requests which need to be change and functionality needs to improve more.

• Would be nice if the reports would have more creativity with the ability to add more charts and graphics.
• The user interface for time sheets could be more user-friendly.

Integration of the Copper Project is amazing. It is designed on such a great module that it can easily integrate with any other software. I have a lot of software already in my organization which we are using to handle different processes in the organization, Copper Project easily integrated with them and gives me all in one platform to manage all of my activities on one platform which is a great help for me.

The previous systems were essentially timesheet systems only with very basic accounting. It's mostly the accounting subsystem that made us select Ajera.

• This feature is also helping me a lot in making project structure and prioritizing things according to the flow of work, which is great as it gives clear path what to do next.
• Customer support of Copper Project is very professional.
• I recently had some problems while using the platform, they listened to the problem carefully and responded with a more feasible and workable solution within the limited time frame, which gives me the confidence to use the platform more in-depth.
