Corcentric Source-to-Pay Platform vs. OpenText RFx Center (legacy)

It is well suited for applications which has centralized data system. For desperate databases, big performance hit could be unavoidable.Web based Sales solutions which could be easily unplugged from big infrastructure and to be used in field with no need of network connectivity or front office availability would be ideal candidates for CPQ

OpenText RFX is well suited with Smaller or midsize organizations where it can be used as standalone solution. For large organization with Custom procurement processes and integration requirements with other business products like SAP, there are better solutions are available which can be evaluated with OpenText RFX product. Custom development processes are limited in OpenText RFX and there are some solutions like SAP SRM and Ariba can be evaluated.

• Pricing engine is a big plus in CPQ.
• The flex modeling supported in CPQ increases the model efficiency by eliminating unwanted options
• Integrating external tools into selectica by exporting out xmls make it easier

• Monitor procurement spend.
• manage Supplier relationship.
• Integrate with ERPs like SAP.
• Analytics of procurement trends.

Unless CPQ is available on cloud or available as platform as service, I am less likely to consider it again. The initial cost involved is high and also the time required for that.

I used Saleslogix.

Solutions like SAP Ariba are better suited for large enterprises with Custom processes and integration requirements with other ERP software like SAP ERP or S/4HANA products which are been used most of the fortune 500 companies. OpenText RFX is good for small and medium organizations with limited customization and integration requirements.

• yes, faster lead conversion as Field sales team rely less on main office
• reduced sales cycle.
