DHTMLX is well suited for building enterprise-level applications that require complex UI elements and data visualization. DHTMLX is less appropriate for Simple applications: If you are building a simple application that does not require a complex UI, DHTMLX may be overkill, and you may be better off using a lighter-weight framework.

Protoviz does not require as much knowledge of programming to build visualizations as with D3.js or Google Charts. Highcharts or AnyChart are other alternatives that are more specific to building charts only

We have tried few other options also which are not exactly tools and they are not listed here. The brief documentation along with the features samples makes DHTMLX better when compared with other options.
