Well suited: 1. We use Data Central to run queries & fetch data. 2. It's an amazing tools where we create multiple profiles with Query & then create multiple job id's for each profile. & then we run the query for the jobs. 3. Its so customizable as we can fetch the data through query for a particular, day, week, month, year. Least Suited: 1. Its very complicated for new users. 2. Data integration with multiple tables is a challenging during any launches. 3. Implementation is very time consuming since it involves large amount of data. 4. The output from the query is stored for maximum of 1 year & can't be retained for more than a year.
Morningstar Direct is great for classifying funds in order of performance and has a huge database to check against. Pretty much every category you can imagine is covered. It is best for research and analyzing before making big decisions. The interface is fairly clean and relatively simple to use.

Haven't tried any alternatives to Data Central as what we were looking for was very unique & customizable solutions. So, we went ahead with Data Central only. As we were able to scale our operations & appplications through it.We use Data Central to run queries & fetch data.
