Datto SaaS Protection vs. NovaBACKUP

In our experience and use of the SaaS service, it met all requirements we had. It worked really well in every single scenario that we used it for. Our company would work exclusively with Microsoft o365 so I can't speak for the Gsuite tooling. The one place I would have liked to see a bit of a facelift would be how it broke out the charge by users.

Provide data protection for small to media size clients. Sends comprehensive email reports upon job completion. Physical to Virtual Migrations. Backing up physical and virtual machines. Alerting on backup job success or failure. Support is could be a little better, but it is adequate. The application is frequently updated and supports the latest operating systems from Microsoft and VMware.

• Backup Office components
• Allow easy restoration of files up to the entire site
• Allows for reporting to find where backup errors have occurred so that these issues can be resolved by the user or by IT

• If possible, I'd like to give my customers the ability to retrieve their own data from my system.
• It has to keep up with more training.
• Google Workspace does not have access to SaaS defense.

We also use Barracuda Backup to backup Office 365 for some of our clients who also use Barracuda Email security products. Each product is a tool, and it is necessary to understand each client's needs before determining which product is best for them. Having said that, Barracuda Backup and Datto SaaS are the two best products in my opinion.

Not as polished as Veeam, but a lot cheaper when backing up data from over 10 servers. Otherwise, if you are backing up just one server, and don't need much in the way of support, the Veeam Community edition is a very cost-effective backup solution. When comparing the support and cost of Novabackup for a small to mid-size business, it is a very reliable solution.
