EGrAMS vs. SmarterSelect

In my opinion, I would not recommend EGrAMS. It is not user friendly or modern. We have spent many hours on the phone or via email coordinating with a person at the state of MI who has had to help us understand how it works and how to accomplish what we need for our contract with them.

Without a doubt this is a program that I would recommend because of how useful it was for us. Everything is now easier, the applications arrive in one place, everything is automated and the program itself helps us to evaluate the applications faster. I highly recommend it to all companies that provide scholarships.

We did not select it. It is a requirement that we use it under our current contract with a funder. We have not evaluated any other products like this. Our alternative to using it would be to submit paper and / or electronic invoices for our billing and not use a separate product
