The best suited scenarios are disk feature trends based on the previous months usage. The product will hold the good amount of historical data [making] it easy to compare the data as needed. The before and after analysis [makes] it easy to identify the difference between those days. That particular report helped me a lot to compare the data.

Data storage and provision of reliable backup plan is part of great services provided by this great product. It is the central reporting system that shows storage units and controls the data metrics that runs across our organization. It gives us the basic planning workbase for monitoring data pathways and performance details of our organization.

• Disk growth trends.
• Library size change difference.
• CPU, DASD, Memory usage and the Jobs count on month wise.
• Top takers (Jobs) of the CPU%.

• Failed backup reporting is easily tailored to specific person, group or function
• The TSM console makes a novice admin more productive quickly as it builds the command syntax for you.
• Alerts when a backup system is down or a resource like a storage pool will soon require expansion
• Trend analysis and historical reporting support capital expenditures

• It's a good tool and no such concerns.

• It would be nice to have an administrator console for Networker and Datadomain the likes of the one in TSM which is so incredibly helpful.

IBM i Doctor will also provide the best results since I am using the Performance Navigator for a longer period and its graphical representation attracted me more and [is] easy to understand. Also, the technical support was awesome. [When showing] the disk and CPU stats to the management (non-technical people), the product is very helpful since it is easy to understand the graphs.

This is the most reliable platform that ensures that data is controlled successfully. It has helped our IT department utilize time used to monitor data storage disks manually. The overall cost of maintenance is lower as compared to other backup plans. It has reduced time taken for auditing our databases due to automatic data auditing system installed on this application.

• Disk growth analysis will help to identify the growth and to add the disk if required.
• CPU utilization report helped us a lot to find out the constant top takers.
• Memory pools utilization report helped a lot to understand the system performance.

• Less need for close backup system oversight so it frees resources for other tasks
• Found 50 plus tapes that were available scratches
• You can more confidently determine the need for backup resources throng the systems predictive analysis.
