Foundation Software Construction Accounting vs. Quadient Accounts Receivable

Working as a general contractor or subcontractor, I highly recommend Foundation Software Construction Accounting. I would not recommend it for anything outside construction, but it could still be used for other businesses.

Great for automating dunning letters and standard customer communications. Great for dashboards for the collections teams. Easy to manage reporting that syncs with our in-house ERP, NetSuite. Senior management can review the dashboard to monitor overall performance. Can be hard to maintain a separate login for another ERP system.

• provides a full audit of all collection notes for any invoice in a single repository of data
• Allows your collection team to become more proactive on issues than reactive - the automated services Quadient offers remove a lot of the manual human tasks

• I think A/P Invoice approval could be much smoother.
• Purchase orders should be more detailed able to be issued and easily modified and enter invoices against them.
• A/P check distribution should let you select checks for ACH payment and printed check in the same run.

There are some things it lacks, certain reports or history audits. I have to call them to do certain things-submit a ticket and wait on someone to call back instead of getting someone immediately. Especially if it's urgent. I have to wait on them to push an update-and they usually run a week or 2 later- to pull quarterly or annual tax forms.

Yay Pay has saved a lot of time. Integrates the billing and invoicing departments and is helpful to the revenue team to track customers and timing of payments. The AR and billing teams can share information with others and allows sharing of information that previously was hard to manage. Yay Pay integrates very well with Net Suite

I give Foundation Software Construction Accounting this rating because once you learn the software and how detailed its with multiple steps to complete transactions, it is very user friendly and keeps you from making user errors.

I love the usability, the way the information is divided is very well though out and it flows nicely. The only thing I would point out is that sometimes the search engine show no results and when I know that cannot be correct, I refresh the page and the information shows up. It would be nice if if the connection is not good or the website is not sure if the information is correct, it would tell me, not say it is not there

Support is usually pretty great. Most of the time return calls to tickets logged are fairly quick. Most everyone is knowledgeable and helpful.

Personally,
I did not have a hand in deciding the software, but for our company is has not
led to increased productivity or made things easier. It has been more difficult
for payroll to be inputted correctly and the payroll reports for certified
payroll often come out incorrect and we need to manually figure out how to correct
the issues and get them in correctly

Very similar to Tesorio - more cost effective but less savvy in forecasting piece. Quadient customer service is A+. Much more functional workflow capability than NetSuite
