FreJun vs. TherapyNotes

As an HR professional, I have to handle multiple calls a day. Using a phone continuously was something I was tired of, so with the help of FreJun Browser, calling made my work much easier and more efficient. Due to the browser calling and the click-to-call feature, I would rate it 9 out of 10.

TherapyNotes is ideal for any size practice with single or multiple providers/clinicians. Its scheduling, billing, EHR, and online portal are great for English speakers but not at all user-friendly to Spanish speakers. It is definitely affordable for a start-up practice and fees associated with merchant services are low compared to competitors.

• Submits claims to the insurance companies and connects with CAQH.
• Tech support is phenomenal.

• Nothing as such.

• Spanish documents are not available. There is not a way to use Spanish documents that can be filled out online like the English documents; instead, the practice must upload a PDF into the Library, share with client via portal and have then print, fill out manually, and upload for organization review and approval.
• Sync feature from Client History Form is inconsistent. It may work with some clients but not with all. Sometimes the user has to completely log out and log back in in order to obtain partially parsed information to use in a treatment plan or psychotherapy note.

I am a creature of habit and other than some areas (Spanish user-friendliness), TherapyNotes fits the bill for what I'm looking for in an EHR

It is user friendly application. And also if I miss the call and I was on break so it send the email notification as well so I get to know someone trying to connect with me

It's just so simple to use. It's made for therapists, so you don't have to bend or twist it into place to meet your needs

It is easy to do, can be done overnight, and requires no special skill set or guidance from TherapyNotes

Click to call feature, bulk dialing, call recording feature.

To some degree, I think you pick TherapyNotes or SimplePractice much the same way people choose Toyota over Honda - It's a style preference. There are definitely differences between the two, but they function the same in many ways. Other EHRs that I've used were for medical practices and hospitals. They weren't developed with behavioral health in mind, at least not in the initial development

• FreJun help in calling
• tracking call records

• Saves time specifically with entering notes which means I can spend more time seeing clients.
• Does not have the ability to enter dual caregivers. Challenging for parents who are divorced and signatures are required from both parents. It is not effective to have two separate portals for the same child.
