Guru.com vs. Ticketbud

Guru.com is great if you are a freelancer looking to connect with clients to get projects, but it is not for people looking for a steady flow of work or a more permanent employment situation. There is a learning curve before you can successfully get clients, but once you get the hang of it, it works nicely.

I believe this would work well for an event you were not needing to promote. Perhaps a Member's Only Event

• Relatively high fees taken out of earnings
• Fake clients still get through, which causes a headache
• Having to pay to get your bid higher up in the list of freelancers makes it even more costly

I selected Ticket Bud over Eventbrite because I wanted to have a lower cost take out of each ticket.
