I would still choose IBM Cloud Backup because it is not only affordable but offers more features and it is very capable. Restoring data is easy and fast and being an IBM tool, it easily integrates with other IBM tools.

Pricing and how easy it is to use. We use other IBM products in our office and it is nice to have everything on one network. The experience for users and managers is better, even new employees who can learn quickly. It also makes it more affordable for us.

LiveVault is the only product we have used. The reason is that we chose it initially was the fact you can restore individual files. Also that the data is transferred offsite to a secure data center and data is backed up again, providing a second offsite copy.

Our company was originally with VaultLogix which was taken over by LiveVault. The transition to the new product was not as smooth as expected and presented us with issues especially with a restore. Restore and what files needed to be included in the backup policy were not communicated to us correctly and it was not until a customer's server failed that we found out we couldn't do a restore because we were missing files that were needed for a complete restore.
I don't believe it works very well for backups of virtual servers. Installation of the product is user-friendly.

  • Second, IBM Cloud Backup customer support might be faster.
  • Because IBM Cloud Backup is so automatic, retrieving some data in a power outage might be difficult.

  • Data loss can be expensive, but IBM Cloud Backup has extra an encryption option, which helps us maintain the value of our information.
  • Besides, the amount of data that IBM Cloud Backup can store is almost limitless, making us deal with any form of content that benefits the company.
  • Finally, no data losses due to accidents, which is a great plus for a company.
