LuxSci vs. Virtru

Apparently secure website hosting and email. Perhaps could have some better background on common website features.

Of all the products out there that integrate with Google, we found Virtru to be the most user-friendly for both our users and the recipients. At the same time, its logging capabilities provide the trail we need for sensitive information. This is one tool for us that has generally been "setup and forget" which helps with the I.T. Dept workload.

• Security for email.
• Some email spam protection.
• Security for websites.

• Email encryption without installing or exchange keys with the recipient.
• Email DLP that is easy to configure and maintain.
• Application Gateway that encrypts email sent directly from SaaS application (ex. Zendesk, SalesForce).
• Protect attachment with restriction like time, print, and copy.

• Unable to provide email script for their servers.
• Email filtering sometimes false negatives.
• Sometimes difficulty with tech support.
• Development requests pending for 2 years now.

• Native Google Docs file encryption should be improved, it's working great in Google Drive but only for files that are not Google native.

For the one sending/using, I rate a 10. For receiver experience, I would rate it 8, as sometimes there are hiccups. So overall, a 9

Full Gmail integration was not a negotiable item for us in our evaluation. Other products provided our needed functionality, but they were outside the standard Gmail interface. That made them more difficult to use, and also less likely to be used. Virtru was the only one we evaluated that actually resided within the Gmail interface, making it very easy to use.

• Cost-effective. I manage (poorly) multiple websites myself & with the help of Luxsci tech support.
• Generally, things work.
• I wish they had more info on what I think are common issues with websites or email.

• Saving manual work and a few steps of the daily work of our reps. saving about 50 hours a month.
• Ensuring customer sensitive info is protected.
• Regulation compliance which would prevent us from doing business.
