MuleSoft Anypoint Platform is best tool in the market for developing APIs with complex structures communicating with various different types of applications including web applications as well as legacy applications. Also applications including database connectivity for fetching and updating data in the DB tables. I cant think of any scenario which MuleSoft Anypoint Platform could not be used for developing the integrations.

TIBCO Rendezvous is a fast and reliable mode of communication, although they are already outdated by TIBCO FTL, which is even more faster and reliable than it's predecessor. They are more suitable for communication between the TIBCO products as all the TIBCO suite of products support the TIBCO Rendezvous. They are more widely used by banks and stock ticker applications to broadcast the ticker information. Most of the applications support Java JMS mode easily and out of the box than the TIBCO Rendezvous. Hence the TIBCO software themselves have their own version of the JMS server called Tibco EMS ( Tibco Enterprise messaging service).

  • Supports hybrid Mule EBS environments. You can configure both CouldHub-based and on-premise-based API using Mulesoft API manager in a similar manner.
  • It's very easy to implement API proxy.
  • User friendly UI.
  • Single platform to manage all.

Cons
Salesforce
  • Has more features than what we really need so we're paying for more than we use. Sort of like paying for an Abrams tank when all we really need is a Toyota Corolla.
  • Not a value product, tends to be expensive.
  • Takes a while for developers to learn to use Mulesoft Anypoint.

  • Poor management tool.
  • TIBCO RV needs a good knowledge on own networks.

Not likely to renew or buy the license as they are using the TIBCO EMS as the primary mode of communication.

Attending an official TIBCO classroom training, where you can have an active participation with an expert teacher, you can find the answers to all yours needs. In any case, if you are not satisfied on your requests, the teacher takes the time to find the best solution.
I had the opportunity to attend one and I could learn all features I needed for my business: now I can say TIBCO Rendezvous is very usable.

I never needed support for TIBCO Rendezvous. I always used it without any issue and until now I don't remember some situations where it interrupted its 24/7 uptime.

Online Training
Salesforce
I have started with MuleSoft Fundamentals course provided by MuleSoft training at start. This was sufficient to do initial learning and get onboarded. The online documentation with different Runtime versions/deprecated functions and keywords are well documented. The automated solution provided by MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to upgrade 3.0 to 4.0 gave a good head start while learning MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and working altogether with Online training and documentations

Once we have moved all of our system integration APIs to the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, we will need to communicate with a wide variety of external systems. All of our business and service logic is stored in the aforementioned core systems. Anypoint Platform (and all of our APIs) makes it easy to connect to various other platforms. In order to link to these many other systems, connectors and/or components are utilized, and they are simple to configure and integrate.

Return on Investment
Salesforce
  • Mulesoft can be used to provide an integration platform to a large number of systems like Salesforce, ODBC, JDBC, SAP, Mongo DB, etc.
  • An excellent option to develop microservices and real-time integrations.
  • Not as robust in handling large data volumes, Informatica is better in that respect.

  • All a non-TIBCO based applications need to use the TIBCO Rendezvous APIs and reprogrammed to communicate with other application using the Tibco Rendezvous.
  • All applications and enterprises need to have an enterprise license to communicate with each other.
  • TIBCO offers their Rendezvous APIs in various programming languages. Hence any application can use these APIs to start using the Tibco Rendezvous. Although most application prefers not to as TIBCO Rendezvous is TIBCO 's closely guarded recipe.
