Clarify before hand any additional charges for remote hand and arrangement/SLA for remote hand. Negotiate well on these terms as they tend to be more flexible around this. Clarify shipping and handling charges if any.

If you need to prepare for certification, this is a great platform as the on-demand version you can retain much more content spread out over time.

• San Jose facility power outage caused damage to company's credibility, this should not occur again being 7x24 facility and backup generator

• I think the cost is a bit high for just watching pre-recorded videos
• sometimes the labs don't work right but it's not very often.

Navisite's rates were better and they seemed to have more SQL Server expertise. This was about 5 years ago and it may not be the case anymore

VMware Learning Platform is authorized for taking the cert test, where the Pluralsight course is not an authorized class equivalent

• Cost savings by not having a full-time DBA on staff - saving of at least 50K a year
• Data team not on call 24/7
• Navisite team will try to fix issue if possible - e.g. shrink log files that have grown
