Their managed infrastructure services include managed infrastructure and hosting, data center colocation services, as well as disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS). Navisite services include those under the former RDX brand, which separated from Charter Communications (as part of the Spectrum Enterprise suite) in 2019.

Navisite manages 24/7 monitoring of our production SQL Servers. This helps because we do not have a dedicated DBA on staff.

Pros

  • 24/7 monitoring
  • Immediate notification in the event of failures
  • Dedicated Senior DBA
  • Dedicate Account rep

Cons

  • Not very pro-active outside of monitoring
  • Previous account rep was not customer focused
  • The ticketing system they use, Proximity can be flaky. Sometimes, do not receive ticket updates

  • 24/7 monitoring
  • Cost saving from not having a full-time DBA on staff
  • Access to dedicated DBA in the event of a critical situation

Good one!!

Pros

  • Remote hand services often pretty responsive and good follow through
  • Shipping and handling was never an issue at Navisite facility for our hardware orders
  • Managed services were also very competent to address issues within short amount of time

Cons

  • San Jose facility power outage caused damage to company's credibility, this should not occur again being 7x24 facility and backup generator
  • Avoiding too many management changes will help create good connection with individuals for sustained harmony

  • Faster turnaround time for deployment of new cage/cabinets resulting into meeting customer needs
  • Improved reliability and uptime with timely remote hand request
