Wasp Inventory is an asset tracking and warehouse management software offering from Wasp Barcode Technologies,. It includes features such as inventory control software made easy to eliminate costly write-offs.
Now that they have changed to a yearly subscription-based model, the cost to purchase Wasp Inventory software is much more expensive. So, I would have to say you'd need to be a mid-sized school or business to find the cost offset by the usability and functionality of the software. If budgetary issues aren't a concern - then this would be a perfect solution to anyone looking for a full suite for Inventory Control
Manage a lot of information - we manage 600+ stores of various sizes with millions of products across them to manage. Oracle Warehouse Management cloud is able to handle all our data.
It has a lot of parametrization inside - when we add a new store, we are able to do so easily, no matter its size.
It's flexible - adding new information, stores, or changing information is easy to do.
It's scalable - again, as we add or change stores, we are able to do so with this software.
We can enter manual entries into Oracle Warehouse Management Cloud and all manual entries do not have proper control.
It performs slow when it must extract the data in large amounts.
Oracle Warehouse Management Cloud doesn’t maintain sales return entries because it’s not an order management system. In order to use this feature, we need to configure or deploy another solution, which is Order Management System. We cannot consider it as a demerit of Oracle Warehouse Management Cloud but for a single feature, we cannot deploy another module. .
We are using these services in our warehouses for managing all our inventory and warehouses for almost 11 years now. With the help of this tool, we were able to track our inventory status more accurately and get a timely update if the inventory is low. It is highly flexible you can easily add new product information or change some information. The interface is very easy to use
Wasp is a standalone asset tracking application whereas IssueTrak's asset tracking was a module available in their helpdesk ticketing platform. It's not an apples to apples comparison at this point. Wasp I feel is more robust in the feature set available but IssueTrak has a more modern interface and intuitive GUI
We have relied on this software for the last 10 years that I have been with the company - and it has been perfect. But their change in purchasing model may have us looking elsewhere for a new inventory software.
I have saved countless hours of manually importing items by simply "duplicating" objects so that all hardware information, computer model. etc are retained - while new serial numbers can be input to create unique inventory items.
