TYPO3 is great if you need to connect some systems in company to work together: like ecommerce + CRM + ERP + MRP and build an Extranet for partners/dealers where they can order your products, see particular BOM (bill of material), paid/unpaid invoices and use email marketing on top of it. You can do it but keep in mind that you will need a dedicated hosting, well organized admin(s) and some handwritten code. For simple blog TYPO3 is also a good choose, but WP would be better I think.

As a partner I have access to the Pegboard developers helpline - phone or online ticket system. At times I have found that their assistance has been a little on the slow side. This could be improved. I also feel that they expect a higher level of programming ability than we as a partner may necessarily have.
We have used the Pegboard Build department to assist us with the development of some aspects of our client’s websites. This build service could improve their communication with partners so that outcomes could be achieved more easily.

when you run a simple blog - it is simple as piece of cake. But if it is a large news site, with many user roles, extensions and permissions - it may be hard to find an admin that will organize and keep that stuff working.
server resources: so you want performance and speed with all that modules enabled? make sure that you have dedicated server in most cases. WP works much better here.

The other web platforms reviewed all use their own design templates that can then be customised. We have recommended these other 2 platforms to some clients that are happy with an existing template design and therefore benefit from some potential lower cost. These other platforms do provide a lesser level of functionality.
