Abnormal Security vs. Phished

Another local organization was compromised, and we were one of the targets of their further attempts. We were 100% protected because the behavioral analysis protected us, but also allowed me to contact that organization and report their compromise. This has actually happened more than one time since going live.

Phished was very easy to implement at my organization. We have had no issues with my team navigating this software. The platform is extremely user friendly. I would recommend Phished to any company looking to protect themself against cyber attacks. This software is an asset that definitely pays for itself in the long run. You can never be too safe!

• Spam filtering...we have been able to turn our spam sensitivity down on Exchange allowing more legitimate messages through to user inboxes.
• Malicious email filtering...we experienced several successful phishing attacks over the past year. Abnormal Security has prevented hundreds of individual campaigns since going live in August '22. I cannot thank them enough!
• Automated response for reported emails...my team is small and we do not have enough hours in a day to review and respond to each reported email. Abnormal Security performs additional analysis on those reports and automatically responds for us. If the message is spam or malicious, copies of those emails are looked for throughout the server and deleted.

• Provides simulations to help increase cyber threat awareness
• Provides continual active reporting to lock out cyber attacks
• Provides their "Behavioral Risk Score" to monitor the organization's security status at all times

• I would like more testing and personalized simulations added
• It would be great to have job role specific training so each different department knows better of the cyber threats that might come their particular way
• More detailed status reports would certainly be beneficial

It is pretty easy to setup and use along with being a learning AI model that continues to work without much interaction from the end user.

KnowBe4 was a close second and only because it has Egress around it which is a more legacy product that has a proven track record of being a good piece of software.

Phished seemed like the better alternative for my organization. I have used Barracuda in the past with another employer. That software doesn't provide the status reports that Phished does. Barracuda filters company wide emails which seems like a good feature, but can be detrimental when "safe" emails aren't making their way through. Phished has a better monitoring system overall

• Phished has freed up project management tasks for our IT department since the software is always monitoring cyber attacks
