PolicyManager vs. Secureframe

The part I like the most is our staff not having to log in to view policies. We have so many passwords to remember having this convenience is a big satisfier.

As an early-stage startup venturing into SOC 2 for the first time with no in-house compliance expertise, I'd say Secureframe is well-suited for early startups. They walked us through various parts of the process and recommended how to approach certain configurations and controls appropriate for our situation and size. We can easily see Secureframe working for larger companies as well; they seem to have a solid foundation in place.

• If I ever have any technical issues or questions the support team is great at getting back to me very quickly. I also like all the resources available to help as well.
• Policy reports, there are so many to choose from. These reports help me track several different things in the system. Compliance, attestations, past due, and so much more.
• Another plus for me is being able to add linkages to outside programs like TJC and Elsevier. Linking these to policies saves a lot of time.

• Centralizes compliance work.
• Controls sensitive document sharing.
• Creates accountability and audit trails.

• The program doesn't work well with Chrome, would like to see that fixed. We have several staff members that use Chrome.

• The new audit module had a few minor bugs during setup on our 2nd pass, but nothing that broke. Confident it'll smooth out the longer it's live in Prod.

Overall this program is great. I am continuously in the program and find it very simple to use. I do have some staff that struggle, only because they are not in the program as often as I am

The Questionnaires feature (which assists in RFP's, security questionnaires, etc) could be designed a lot better. I see what they were going for, and based on their track record for improving features I'm sure it will get a refresh, but in it's current state it is the only features that I do not use.

From purely comparing marketing sites (unable to trial others), Secureframe had better first time SOC 2 audit documentation and explanations for free to ease you into understanding the processes.
