Priority Matrix vs. ProjectManager

If you're overwhelmed with too many things to do, and need help deciding which tasks to focus on, Priority Matrix is for you. Priority Matrix uses the classic Eisenhower matrix methodology which has been shown to be really effective for this purpose. Now you can use an app for that, instead of a piece of paper or Excel.

Because I work with many people for whom Project Management is new, I wanted to use software that was user-friendly, fairly intuitive, and not filled with jargon. I like the fact I can use existing templates that (mostly) work for our needs, and I look forward to more things being added. They say support is 72 hours, but I’ve never waited for more than a few.

• Reach inbox zero
• Reduce internal email messages

• Creating job schedules and milestones, which we provide to our clients as well as our vendors.
• A one stop shop for downloading/uploading any job/site specific documents (issues, daily reports, photos, signoffs, etc.).
• Real time communication with your clients. As soon as an issue has been raised within ProjectManager.com, everyone attached to that job with get an email notification of what has been communicated or what document has been uploaded.

• It works better if you're familiar with the Eisenhower matrix

The focus of Priority Matrix is on prioritization. Other apps exist that do a fine job with task and project management, but none of them equal Priority Matrix in terms of focusing your attention on the right task. The 80/20 principle that people often talk about (80% of the results come from 20% of the inputs) is clearly visible when you use PM.

We have not used any other project management software since using ProjectManager.com.

• Less context switching due to having all the Microsoft integrations
• Having everyone work on the right task without need for frequent sync meetings
• Reaching inbox zero with peace of mind

• less time spent “looking for things” it’s all there.
• Having all the deliverables and timelines together has been great.
• I don’t have the version with employee time tracking, but we are considering the upgrade.
