SafetyNet vs. Trimble ProjectSight

I’ve been telling colleagues about this software as it’s worked well for us. We’ve been using it for about a year now, and the ability to get real-time data from the field back to the home office is a huge plus. Our workers found it easy to learn and not difficult to use in the field, too

I would probably recommend Trimble ProjectSight (Prolog) over Procore, as it is an easier user interface and typically avoids any problems with the users. I would say that it does take some getting used to, but once you are used to it it is pretty easy to use. This would be good for a residential home in construction.

• The interface is easy to use on a phone or iPad.
• Can be done in real time when on site.
• The construction tasks to report on are organized and comprehensive.

• Change orders: great way to send and document official communications to subs and clients.
• Drawings: always good to have drawings and info readily available.

• Maybe an automated safety report can be implemented based on pictures and videos of construction.
• The interface could use shortcuts to tasks that are being tracked more often.

This is the first kind of this software we’ve used. A colleague at another company mentioned it and I thought it would be a good addition to our ability to help our guys in the field. So far it seems to be living up to the promises we were given

I have only used Procore otherwise, and from what I remember Procore does not have as many features in terms of keeping track of CD documents, and organizing RFI's like Trimble does. I think overall Trimble ProjectSight (Prolog) is a better product, and if it was up to me I would pick Trimble ProjectSight (Prolog) over Procore.

• Positive: kept jobs running smoothly, awesome tool to track and oversee projects
• Negative: not much really, good tool, just very in-depth with information that is needed to fill in documentation
